When we say ‘Kerala’, it pulls a dual string of spirituality, for it is known as ‘God’s own country’, as well as scenic beauty since the Arabian Sea forms an artistic ‘necklace’ around this state. Dramatic coastlines, paradise of ayurvedic science, culturally rich hand carved temples and the beautifully interwoven turquoise and serene backwaters brings a sense of divinity and wholesomeness for every being that walks down here. The Kannur district of Kerala is well connected with long distance rivers with boating facilities to enjoy the scenic beauty of Kerala. Moreover, Kannur is renowned as the ‘Land of Theyyam’. This magnificent art form that is played in many temples, is an integral part in the culture of this Northern Kerala district.
